Polyweld NZ have been contracted by Brian Perry Civil, working as part of the Te Aranga Alliance to complete the Bothamley Park sewer pipeline is being replaced to stop untreated sewage overflows into the Kenepuru Stream and cater for future development as part of the Porirua Development project. This contract included rediverting the existing potable water lines and extending some larger PE water mains ranging in size between 180-630mm.
The sewer pipeline will be constructed utilising both traditional trenching and trenchless methodologies. The project requires butt welding of PE pipelines ranging in diameter from 180 – 630mm.
The project has a particular focus on local engagement and a sustainable workforce.
Scope of works
- Mobilise all required equipment to site.
- Complete PE butt & EF welding, including stub flange welding as required, of the following sizes:
– 900mm SDR17 and SDR11
– 630mm SDR17
– 500mm SDR17
– 450mm SDR17
– 355mm SDR17
– 180mm SDR 17 - In trench welding of strings, stub flanges, tapping saddles and various fittings.
- Provide multiple welders and machines to meet programme requirements.
Polyweld have commissioned a brand-new Hurner 1000mm Butt Welder especially for this project along with other specialist plant & equipment to complement our welding operation.
